Central Synagogue in Manhattan is looking for part-time teachers in the Lese Center for Living Judaism (LCLJ), our PreK-12th grade religious school, for the 2024-2025 school year. We follow a Project-Based Learning curriculum, so this is an amazing opportunity for anyone interested in this model to get some hands-on experience. We are looking for teachers on Mondays through Thursdays at our midtown location and Tuesdays and Thursdays at our downtown location at Hebrew Union College. Hours are approximately 4:00-6:30pm, with exact timing dependent on day and grade. You can teach between one and four days - all four not required! Job responsibilities include classroom teaching, Hebrew lesson creation, and communication with families. There will also be paid opportunities to staff weekend social events throughout the school year.
